We intend to document and build search engine tools that respect user freedom and privacy.

Our goals:

• Create floss privacy respecting search engines for servers or desktops
• Document the challenges of building and operating search engines
• Create RFCs so that search engines are interoperable and easier to build

Target audience:

• Users interested in floss and privacy respecting tools
• All kinds of researchers that need better and more open (re)search tooling
• Engineers (programmer, sysadmin, ui/ux, product...) that want to build or host their own search engines
