Hello all,

It's been a while since the last release of kiln, but version 0.3.0 is
around the corner. New features include:

- A new companion tool, mdtohtml[1], for converting Markdown to HTML
- More sophisticated feed generation with per-task feeds
- Support for per-task base URLs
- Renamed .Permalink to .Path, and added a new variable .URL which takes
into account the base URL of the task
- Ability to specify which tasks can build a page in frontmatter. Useful
for excluding content from certain tasks.
- Root page of the site exposed via the site.Root variable
- Improved documentation
- Other bugfixes and improvements

I've just tagged version 0.3.0-alpha. Please give it a try and let me
know what you think. Note that you will likely need to update your
templates as a few of the variable names have changed. See the new
default templates for examples.

Hey Adnan,

I've been using kiln via the master branch for a long time now. So over
the last few months I've used everything proposed for 0.3.0, right up
to having just published with 0.3.0-alpha-1-g3e1683e.

I've been building/installing it locally, and via builds.sr.ht when
publishing.

Everything has been working great, once I completed the updates to my
templates needed for the changes of course. 😉

So it's a big thumbs up from me for 0.3.0! 👍

Take care,

Ian
