Hey there,
My name is Joshua Strobl and I am an open source developer and the
Experience Lead of Solus. I regularly stream software development on my
Twitch [1] and currently upload recordings of the streams to Odysee [2]
to enable folks that can not watch the streams live to check them out
when they are available to do so. Yesterday someone reached out on
Fosstodon and asked if I would considered uploading a PeerTube instance
and amolith took that opportunity to reach out to suggest LibreMedia!
I would love to be able to upload my content to LibreMedia for
distribution on the instance and to the wider federated PeerTube
network. My videos currently published are done so under Public Domain,
but I have zero issue with them being under a Creative Commons license
such as CC-BY-SA-4.0. I have already set up an account at
joshstrobl@libremedia.video

I apologise for the long wait; university has been hectic the last few
days on top of work and other things.

We would be more than happy to host your videos! :) There is also the
possibility of streaming to PeerTube as well if you'd be interested in
splitting your RTMP stream with something like Prism [1]. PeerTube v3
brought support for "lives", streaming in a decentralised and P2P manner
[2], and LibreMedia was updated about a month ago. We haven't tested it
with our current setup yet and don't know whether it's feasible though;
the feature is exposed in the UI but incoming RTMP connections are
rejected until we have a better idea of what the servers can handle.

In any case, you're more than welcome to upload archives of your Twitch
streams and whatever other videos you feel like putting together! If we
take too long to approve an upload, feel free to ping me or lelux in
Matrix/IRC; after the first few uploads, we'll disable that and your
videos will be public as soon as you hit publish.

Releasing your work under Public Domain is perfectly alright! Creative
Commons has a license that does exactly that but it's a bit harder to
find on their website; licensing your content under CC0 would dedicate
it to the public domain.

Your storage quota and daily upload quota have been set to unlimited. I
look forward to seeing your videos and streams!
Cheers,
