When compiling zig I get very similar errors on: 
zig-0.6.0+f5eb31a55
zig-0.6.0
zig-bootstrap-0.6.0

OS: Void Linux 5.4.42_1 #1 SMP ppc64le GNU/Linux
bootstrap command used: bash build -j32 native
(running ./build instead of bash build gives "./build: 13: ./build: Bad substitution")
