Yes, your assessment here is accurate - there is no emotion in
Oceania, other than that of hate. Yes, there is unity among those who
watch the Two Minutes Hate, and there is not a single indication of
individuality. No man or woman can think for themselves. Nobody can
resist the party; if they did, they would be vaporized, though hardly
anybody has the capacity for such thoughts, as false ideals are
instilled in them every single day. Perhaps a government stays strong
with complete ideological homogeneity, though what of the people? The
people's ignorance translates to the suffering of a society.
