Hi Sacha,
great post! I've shared it on mastodon:
https://fosstodon.org/web/@bzg/107472404945685452
I took improvisation theater lessons for 15 years, enjoyed it very
much, and one of the biggest lessons for me was to "be vulnerable":
being on stage puts you in a state of stress that makes you believe
you need to be clever, to do your best.. and the outcome of this is
not good, generally*.
I like your post because it's sincere: you are not afraid of sharing
what's difficult, it will surely resonate with many emacsers who try
to help others. It did at least for me, especially when it comes to
dealing with the kiddo factor and the mental energy it takes everyday.
What works for me is to avoid regular Emacs/Org commitments and to set
aside one or two days of Emacs/Org stuff: catching up with the mailing
lists, bug reports, patches, etc.
Also, I don't do IRC and social networks, at least not for realtime
discussions. Along the years, I've slowly become FOMO-proof, trying
to focus on things I can help with when I manage to put aside these
days of productive fun.
Anyway, thanks for sharing it, it will surely inspire people!

and thought-provoking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz9mo4qW9bc
