Hello! Thank you so much for creating BreezeWiki, it's been an
absolute lifesaver for all my researching purposes.

For at least the last 24 hours and more, I've been getting an error
whenever I try to access any Fandom page through BreezeWiki (I use the
Chrome extension). The error page says: "Sorry! Fandom isn't allowing
BreezeWiki to show pages right now. We'll automatically try again in
30 seconds, so please stay on this page and be patient."

Of course, the page doesn't reload properly on BreezeWiki after the 30
seconds. Is there any word on what exactly is causing this situation
and an estimate of how or when it might be mitigated soon? Even just
an explanation would be really appreciated. I love this extension so
much and I really hope we can continue using it.

Thank you for your time!

Hi Dae, thanks for the kind words!

To explain why this is happening, Fandom has a limit on how quickly one
person can view lots of pages. Normally this doesn't matter, because the
limit is so high that a normal person would never see it.

However, when people are browsing through BreezeWiki, Fandom doesn't see
all the requests for pages as coming from the people all around the
world. Fandom sees all theseĀ  as if they're just coming from BreezeWiki.
This means it's much more likely to hit the limit. When it hits the
limit, you see this page.

To help you out, volunteers runs lots of copies of BreezeWiki around the
world, called "mirrors". Fandom sees these as different. So even if one
mirror is restricted, another might be functional.

I'm assuming you're using the Indie Wiki Buddy browser extension? If you
are, you can open the extension's popover, and down the bottom there's an
option for "BreezeWiki host". Change it to one of the other options in
the list. Then next time you click a Fandom link, you'll see the same
page on a different BreezeWiki instance instead.

Let me know if this works for you.

Fandom might decide to change the way their limits work in the future, so
I can't guarantee this will work forever, but it seems to do the trick at
the moment. Best of luck!
