Git repository mirrors for Carbs Linux
From Cem Keylan to ~carbslinux/cpt-announce
Greetings, I have released version 6.0.0 of CPT, which brings a set of changes I have been working on since December, they can be viewed from the CHANGELOG file. The Fossil repository[1] is now considered the canonical source for the package manager. The package repository itself is still served under Git, but I am thinking about switching to Fossil for the package repository some time this year. Hello, Recently I have decided to switch to Fossil[1] to continue the development of CPT. This change unfortunately causes the revision hashes to change, which I know is a bad practice, but I personally did NOT want to set up bidirectional mirroring when I wasn't aiming for bidirectional development. Sorry if this causes an inconvenience for you. I have added a Git bundle of the actual Git repository[2] so that you can verify the commits against the new repository. The fossil repository is served on <https://fossil.carbslinux.org/cpt>. [1]: https://fossil-scm.org

I did some minor fixes to the previous candidate, one which fixed an issue with the manual page outputs of non-contrib tools, and one to change pax's "strip-components" behaviour. The updated version can be found on the testing repository. First release candidate for cpt-6.0.0 has been released. While the code itself is pretty much complete, I am holding the release off until the documentation is complete. Important changes can be viewed from the CHANGELOG in the repository. I am planning on completing the release until next Friday. I'll be adding this release candidate to the `testing` repository so you can install and test the latest version of cpt. -- Best Regards, Cem Keylan

Our own git server might stay outdated as it is switching to the new server. Outages should be expected until the end of this week. You can temporarily switch to the mirrors on Sourcehut to avoid repository issues. -- Best Regards, Cem Keylan
