Free and Open source software, for everyone.
#Introduction
This mailing list is the discussion of FOSS as it relates to accessibility. Accessibility pertains to the usage of anything by people with disabilities, including sensory, physical, mental, and neural disabilities. With this project, we aim to work on FOSS projects, either with or without the help of foundations and other communities, to give people with disabilities a way out of the stranglehold that corporate computing has on our lives.
#Rules
- There is to be no hate speech in this project and networks, rooms, servers, instances, ETC. which spawn from this project. This means if you think what you're about to say would be received as hateful if it were said to you, don't say it to anyone else.
- While this is a project focused on open source accessibility, we will strive to be a people-first, kind and caring community. If someone is going through hard times, let them speak. This should, however, be contained, as much as possible, in one thread or conversation.
- Stay on topic, or change the topic. If a topic veers from its original course, rename the topic, or create a new one.
- Be civil. We'll have different cultures, and different subcultures, so misunderstandings are going to happen. When they do, ask for clarification before assuming the worst.
- This should be a safe for work project. If there is a need for an NSFW area, one can be created on Matrix.
Thanks all who participate here. Let us remember that by making FOSS more accessible, we are improving everyone's security, and ensuring that everyone can use technology, no matter what.
