I now use NixOS about 3/4 of the time,
and updated my <https://beauhilton.com/colophon/> with the Nix flake workflow,
which uses entr instead of caretaker. Both approaches amount to the same thing: automatic rebuilds on file save, live preview, and easy upload to the server.

One oddity, by the way: selecting text on your page is challenging 
because the selected text background color is the same as the background 
color.
Please adjust your CSS to make selected text visible.
