I got lock working when I close the lid of my laptop. After trying many things I've got it to work with section four here:

This may have only worked because the default behavior of closing the lid of my laptop is suspend.

Thought this may help you or somebody else if they run into issues with lock, suspend, and hibernate in the tiles menu. Note I'm on Ubuntu.

Nice getting locking working.
I'll look into these things when I've done the next improvements for numen.

And that's good about urxvt too :)
