Hi there,
trying to get some user support via this mailing list, since my post on reddit
got deleted twice (most probably due to insufficient karma or whatever) and IRC
is not convenient for me.
I have been facing some problems librebooting a Thinkpad X60s. So far, I tried
both an internal and external flash with the following results:
1. Internal flash:
Following the instructions given on the libreboot webpage I downloaded the
20160907 utils archive, but at the very beginning the bucts tool throws the
error "Unsupported LPC bridge. Sorry".
2. External flash:
Flashprog reports "Found Atmel flash chip "AT25DF321" (4096 kB, SPI) on
linux_spi". Now this messages got me confused, because the libreboot release
provides 2.1 MB and an 16.8 MB roms, but no 4 MB rom. (It is nowhere clearly
written, but I assume that the aforementioned roms provided by libreboot which
are intended for X60 models are also compatible with X60s. Otherwise, where can
I found the rom?) According to the Coreboot-ThinkPads webpage at github X60
models either have an MX251l605D or SST25VF016B IC, which indicates that these
models are actually different.
So, why does the bucts tool complain about an unsupported bridge (it should work
after all)? Does that mean that an internal flash is not possible? And what
libreboot rom am I supposed to flash?
Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. I found some of the instructions in the "Thinkpad X60 Recovery guide"
inaccurate for my setting. Plugging the charger into the mainboard when
attaching the SPI programmer didn't work for me (giving the error "No EEPROM
found). However, using the 3.3 V rail of the SPI programmer worked just fine.
