I’m also interested in screenless devices : devices immediately attached
to a printer. I wonder if such devices are still existing and could be
used, for example with offpunk.

I find espeakup on Linux plus better commands (https://gitlab.com/unrznbl/shelli ) to be the most useful way for me to get screenless.
I use ed(1) the standard Unix editor exclusively and every day for work and personal and email.
I think it works well screenless and enjoyed the article about editora sent recently.
I love the idea of edbrowse but not the implementation, too complicated for me.
