Re: Plugin for Freshrss? 3 months ago

From Marc Coquand to ~ghost08/photon

Or alternatively, if a plugin isn't the way to go, does anyone have a
workflow they use for fetching feeds and reporting what has been read
from freshrss? I guess you could set up a daemon to periodically fetch
feeds but you'd need a way to report back what you have read.

Plugin for Freshrss? 3 months ago

From Marc Coquand to ~ghost08/photon

Hi!

I'm curious if anyone has tried setting Photon up with Freshrss and have
a plugin I could use? Otherwise, I might spend a weekend creating one.
:)

Sincerely,
Marc

Awesome, that would be a great solution.

This looks like a perfect alternative for me, thank you!

carddav-query very laggy 4 months ago

From Marc Coquand to ~rjarry/aerc-discuss

Hi!

I'm trying to set up the address-book-cmd. I followed the basic example
in `man carddav-query` for fastmail, and correctly find my contacts only
that it is very very slow, there is a huge delay in each character I
type. My suspicion is that it makes a search query for each character I
type.

Does anyone else experience this lag? Did you find a way to resolve it?

I also have maildir setup, so maybe there is a way to leverage that like
mu4e does?

Re: Parse error: %40 is an invalid escape sequence for xoauth2 7 months ago

From Marc Coquand to ~rjarry/aerc-discuss

Hi!

Thanks for investigating, I figured out what it was.

The refresh token contained '//', which I didn't escape properly before
using as a password. This caused the parsing error.

So if you use the config

[test]
source = imaps+xoauth2://marc%40myhost.com:re//fresh@imap.gmail.com:993?client_id=client&client_secret=secret&token_endpoint=https%3A%2F%2Foauth2.googleapis.com%2Ftoken
outgoing = smtps+xoauth2://marc%40myhost.com:re//fresh@smtp.gmail.com:465?client_id=xxx&client_secret=xxx&token_endpoint=https%3A%2F%2Foauth2.googleapis.com%2Ftoken

Hi!

The full message is:

Failed to load config: [Work].outgoing: parse

I tried with normal oauth as well, same issue persists.

Parse error: %40 is an invalid escape sequence for xoauth2 7 months ago

From Marc Coquand to ~rjarry/aerc-discuss

Hi!

The problem:

On aerc 0.15.2 on Mac, I'm running into a complaint that %40 is not a
valid escape code when trying to create an account with xoauth2.

This issue is only relevant for xoauth2, it works fine for otherwise.

I have the following setup:

[Work]
source   = imaps+xoauth2://marc%40myhost.com:refresh@imap.gmail.com:993?\
client_id=client&\
