Hello,
somebody added new GitHub templates for creating new issues on
the GitHub issue tracker. The result is exactly opposite of what
I hoped for the GitHub [1]: instead of cleaning up the issue
tracker, we are getting more and more completely useless issues
like https://github.com/martanne/vis/issues/1213
Could we remove that category “Feature Request” from GH Issue
template and emphasize the mailing list, please?
Best,
Matěj

The current issue template (linked below) for feature requests is there
with a big title to point people to the mailing list. Perhaps it should
be made even more obvious (a body that says "don't use this?"), but it
seems better to have this "template" to point people the right way,
rather than having people just use the bug report template for a feature
request.

I don’t think the experience I have from browsing through the
issue tracker again and again validates this claim: it seems
to me that with introduction of templates we have by far more
feature requests and by far less well prepared ones.

Matěj

Move slow and fix things.
