Hi, i'm Gabriel! Programmer, designer and activist.
I love Linux and FOSS, and occasionally create a few projects here and there.
My stuff is mostly at my personal git now, mirrored at github.

Hey folks! To any Nix users around who might be interested, support for `sourcehut` flakes has been introduced (by yours truly) with the 2.7 version (now available on nixos-unstable). You can use the easier to remember (and more bandwidth efficient) type for referring to flakes hosted on `git.sr.ht` (or any other sourcehut git/hg instance, just specify a `host` attribute). Works both on the Nix commands and as inputs on other flakes. For example, building a flake package from a git.sr.ht repo: `nix build sourcehut:~misterio/misterio.me`

(Sorry for double posting, forgot to reply to list) Hey, Just chiming in, my email client reported that your message's DKIM failed. Maybe that is causing it to be flagged? Regards,

Hey folks! I was using pages.sr.ht to host my personal website (https://misterio.me) for a couple of weeks, but i noticed moving between pages was a lot slower than it used to be when hosting at gitlab or github. When inspecting the network tab on the browser devtools, it seems that nothing is being cached at all. My CSS and fonts get redownloaded at each and every page load, making usage quite slower. It seems my page is missing the `cache-control` header. At gitlab, this is set to 600 seconds (which is quite low, but does speed stuff up). srht.site itself also seems to be affected by this.

Hey! >My understanding(*) is that usually the project is called Sourcehut and >this particular instance is called sr.ht, so perhaps srht: would make >more sense as a shortcut prefix? Actually, this is not for a specific host, but for a repository "kind". For example, the "gitlab" type works for any and all gitlab instances. That's why i personally think sourcehut makes more sense than srht, as this refers to the software, not the specific instance. Here's an example flake referring to gitgud.io's gitlab instance: ```

Hello, Drew! First of all, i would like to congratulate you on this amazing service. It's been a huge joy trying sourcehut out for my personal and school projects, it's by far the best experience i've ever had with a software forge. I love the build system, and it's been overall great being in an ecossystem created by someone that strongly stands for what i believe in. Here's a request/suggestion i have. And some background on it. (TLDR At bottom) I use Nix for most of my workflow, and the tooling allows us to refer to
