Hi,

 • Device: Pixel 4a
 • OS: LineageOS 21, build 0316
 • Shelter: 1.9.1 from FDroid
 • Google Maps: 11.118.0102, installed in Shelter, not installed in Main.

*Scenario*:

- Unfreeze and launch the Maps application.
- In the app settings, change the application language to some language *other* than the system default.
- Application re-launches itself with the new language UI, as expected,
- Freeze the Maps application
- Again, unfreeze and launch Maps.

*Expected behavior*:

- The language setting will still be honored, with the Maps UI is in the "other" language.

*Actual behavior*:

- The language is not honored, the Maps UI is in the default system language again.

*Note*:  When doing this scenario but setting the Maps language via Android Settings (not within the app itself) - same problem occurs exactly.
