Hello!

I've been subscribed to this list since early in its life, but it's
taken me more than a year to actually make a blog. The time has
finally come, though, and I'm excited!

https://www.scolby.com/
RSS (well, really, Atom) at https://www.scolby.com/feeds/atom.xml

I wrote the template for the site myself, so please let me know if
you see any issues on any of your systems.

I have a backlog of post ideas, so updates will likely be frequent
for the next week or so. After that, I've set my goal to publish
something at least once a month to get started.

Thanks, Scott

Hi Scott,

Really nice website. Really like the design of the post pages. Also
enjoyed the in-depth dive into just 7 lines of code.

> I am a software developer and chemist.

This part looked really interesting, I'd love to see blog posts that
combine software and chemistry if that is something you are interested
in as well.

> I have a backlog of post ideas

Don't run out of them in a short time, it is a blogger's curse to post
in bursts and then have a dry spell for ages.

> Updates will likely be frequent.

Nice, nothing pleases my RSS reader more than frequent content.

Nice! Added to my feed. :)

Simon's and Drew's monthly status update is a very nice thing to do if
you find yourself without ideas.

Thanks! Like I said, I'm quite proud of it. It was also a lot of
fun to look back at it a few years on and figure out how it all
works again.

My chemistry is a bit lapsed, but I do have some old work on
processing electron microscope images somewhere on my hard drive,
which seems interesting now that you mention it.

I also wrote several molecular dynamics simulation questions when
I was TA-ing a statistical mechanics class. There's probably something
of interest there too...

This sounds like great advice :)

Also good advice. I'll keep that in my back pocket.

Thank you all for the welcome!
