Hi just discovered this thread after reading this post[^1], I'm interesting
with this idea since I do a same thing for Indonesian developers.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Fariz and I'm writing some technical posts
on my own blog[^2] in English and my Organization blog[^3] in Bahasa Indonesia.
I've some _consideration_ to change my career path from Software Engineer to "fulltime"
blogger, what do you think about that? Currently I'm enjoy enough
on being Software Engineer, but want to try something new.

Blogging about software specifically or more general topics? I think
making a career out of it is pretty difficult, but I'm curious to see
how it works out for you!

You'd probably have to do what Drew does -- build stuff and write about
it too. I don't think there'd be enough content to blog about
"fulltime", otherwise.
It'd also require some amount of prior exposure, either through your
existing work or previous work. Tech blogs are ubiquitous, it's kinda
like gaming on YouTube -- literally everyone has one but very few make
it big (big enough to make a living).
Just my 2c.

Hi All,
My name is Eric and I started my blog after about five years of second guessing it. A friend showed me Drew's work and offer to start a blog and it coincided with me taking on new challenges to learn cloud technology and wanting to contribute to the community somehow, so it all ended up pushing me over that edge.
I'll mostly write about Linux (Slackware) related sysadmin/devops topics and web development / programming as I learn.
I'm currently working on figuring out how to implement the blog ring to the site in a way that works for me.
