I’ve seen many code hosting services like Github and GitLab being very
vocal about the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Thankfully I’ve
not seen Sourcehut say anything about this, and I like this fact very
much. So will sourcehut still be apolitical in these subjects or would
it become political someday?

such a question has no answer. it's way too vague. nobody knows the
future. nobody is going to pledge that sourcehut will always be
apolitical, whatever that even means.

sourcehut is already political (the use of GNU AGPL is a political
statement); but it is just software and probably/hopefully doesn't
have an opinion about the sort of politics you are talking about.

If you mean will Drew and the other paid srht staff start using the
software to insert their politics (beyond the license) then my guess
is no.

Why would they when they have their own internet spaces where they can
express those personal views? I hope those employed by srht are
allowed the freedom of dissent instead of having to publicly toe some
corporate party line they privately disagree with.

Individuals not institutions (or their PR departments) have beliefs
and opinions; political or otherwise.

SourceHut has already stated it's political stance once a few years back. Drew Devault, seemingly involves SourceHut on selective political topics. So, you will know their stance when or if they provide one.

If you wish you know more you can search the mailing list for previous political comments as it will clarify it better than I can.

It's already not:

(and I honestly prefer it that way!)

SourceHut is inherently political, but I do not see the need for us to
comment on every issue that comes up. My condemnation of the Russian
invasion, such as it is, is not particularly meaningful and would take
attention away from where it's required. But yes, everyone at SourceHut
is horrified by the trails being endured by Ukranians right now.
