Hello Drew!
I very much appreciate the effort you put into
writefreesoftware.org! Thank you.
I recently stumbled across the Joinup Licensing Assistant (JLA) [1] while exploring the EUPL. It allows you to select a license interactively by choosing requirements (e.g. copyleft, sublicensing, saas-loophole, or fsf approved) of a license. In addition to displaying a set of licenses that fulfill the requirements, you can compare them. For example, here is a comparison between the GPL, AGPL, and EUPL [2].
I think such a tool is really nice for exploring licenses interactively. Further, I could not find a comparable tool by googling for "open source license chooser".
Also, I think the fact that the tool is published by the European Commission makes it more trustworthy than a unknown website on Google.
As I find the JLA quite useful, and could not find it using Google, I think it would be a good idea to promote it in the Choosing a License page.
Did you known about the JLA? What do you think of it? Any _good_ alternatives I missed?
Greetings
Marten Ringwelski
PS: Sorry for the missing line breaks, I am on mobile.
