Hi! Very interesting, I would like to use this as the basis for allocations for caching in a long-lived process, which can be marked `MADV_FREE` when quiescent. You mention needing to dirty each page to unset `MADV_FREE`; is that not the purpose of setting `MADV_NORMAL` for the given range?
