Hi ~skeeto,
Thanks for your blog - I really enjoyed reading it.
This vi/m tutorial I really liked and found it useful over the years https://www.ele.uri.edu/faculty/vetter/Other-stuff/vi/009-index.html. It is by Walter Alan Zintz, originally published in UnixWorld Online. It is about more advanced vi/m use than the average tutorial online (that are mostly pretty basic).
Nowdays linked from https://sanctum.geek.nz/arabesque/unidex/, a site that itself I find useful for various dev things (e.g https://sanctum.geek.nz/arabesque/series/unix-as-ide/).
Hope you like and find them useful too - regards,
LJ

Thanks for the links, Ljubomir. I knew about Arabesque of course, but the
Alan Zintz tutorial is new to me. When choosing a recommendation I look
for a text that begins with the fundamentals followed by an opinionated
(with good taste) guide of how to apply them. This old tutorial does not
quite fit, but my usual recommendation, Practical Vim (Drew Neil), does
exactly that. In another direction is the Vim manual, which is thorough
and covers every last detail, but lacks an opinion on how to use all that
power.

You are welcome Christopher - thanks for your blog.
Sorry I missed the subject - seems my Firefox+Thunderbird combo didn't get the Subject from the mailto: link on the site (I see the pre-filled Subject in the pop-up when hovering over it, but TB does not get it and my FF right-click "Copy link text" also does not copy the "?Subject=Re: My Journey with Touch Typing and Vim" part either). And sorry I sent it html format - I read the guidelines too late.
All the best -
LJ
